  5. “Your hero’s come cheap, I’m a survivor”... that was a defining line, because White Star manipulated the survivors into signing paperwork for a payout of what would be equivalent to only $25 today. Just insulting, especially to the ones who made it that had trauma.

The history of the Earth tells us that climate change is a natural event and has happened many times in the past without the end of humanity and it will happen again without our interference and we are unable to stop or prevent it. It is also of interest that the German scientists are most public about their geological finds and impressions. Post WW II. The scientists from Germany seemed very interested in the history of other nations and have dedicated decades to finding answers to the many questions of mankind. We owe them our thanks for their dedication and for sharing all their discoveries with the rest of the world.

  16. This is an excellent documentary and one of the best i've seen on submarines. The Kursk tragedy was horrific and even more so when it was eventually known some members of the crew survived the explosion which sent it to the sea bed, only for them to die a slow death.

It's too bad that commentators below concentrate on criticising the Germans for making this documentary, without seeing the bigger picture that ALL humans, when put in the circumstances, can act inhumane and even brutal. If we just blame "Nazis" for war crimes, we will never learn. Germany was also the country of Beethoven, Schiller, and great scientists. Therefore, ANY country has the ability to devolve into inhumanity in time of war. I like how the people all seem to own up to the fact that its thier own fault, while finding solutions that better the entire planet instead of just ignoring it. The Trimmers and Stokers just don't get the credit they are due...The films tend to focus on the Uber-wealthy, and when I read that in retrieving the bodies, Crew were just piled on ice rather than being placed into individual wooden coffins it seemed so wrong. In Death, all men and women are surely equal. I didn't realise til now that the men struggled so valiantly to clear the boilers of anthracite &c Well done to them, bless every one of them. R.I.P
