  7. Skip his initial yapping and go to 6:55 for info. The CyberOps cert is nothing special. It's just Cisco's version of an intro Analyst cert. The real Analyst cert is E-Council's Security Analyst (ECSA). The cert AFTER CEH! You MUST get the CEH as a prerequisite. Oddly, most Analyst and so-called hackers stop at CEH. And as a result, most recruiters, and even IT people, never heard of the ECSA. Go CCNA Security over CyberOps. At least you can take it to CCIE, unlike the CyberOps certs.

  8. I have an example. I was at 225lbs and my doctor told me i was gonna get diabetes which meant i woudnt be able to eat sweets anymore. I'm now 155lbs and dont even have a craving for sweets anymore.

  10. Hi Chuck, Not sure if you're still parsing through these comments. I just passed my CCENT (again), and a lot of your brother's advice and comments still apply. A couple of comments on some of the postings below: - You're NEVER too old to get into IT/Networking. I've known guys in their 50's who got their CCNA and became Network Admins at companies. I'm working on re-cert for my CCNA a 3rd time. Why? The topics change (they removed frame relay for crying out loud, I thought I would never see the day). - The CCNA is a great foundational cert to have, if you're debating CCNA vs. Net+, the CCNA will take you farther. The concepts can be applied to Software Defined Networking as well as other vendors' equipment. For example Dell PowerConnect switches are very similar, and if you know what's happening at the foundation you can configure Juniper gear too. Even firewalls like pfSense/Fortigate/Sophos can use VLANs, routing protocols, etc. - Don't be scared of IPv6! The entire section in the 100-105 Cisco Press book is an excellent foundation for IPv6. While IPv4 won't be going away any time soon, most of us will probably be using dual-stack/6to4 (or vice versa) at some point. - French press? Really? pffftt... Call me when you get a moka pot, rookie! hahaha

  17. I LOVE SAFARIBOOKSONLINE!!!! My employer provides us with a subscription so I use it a lot. I still like my physical CCNA books (I'm old school) but I use SafariBooks when I'm away and don't want to carry my physical books around.

You called the forwardslash a "backslash" twice 4:51 5:25 (also, your double quotes turned into single quotes without any explanation 5:41), and you called curly braces "brackets" which commonly means square brackets. Keep up the great videos, but please avoid confusion with the names.
