Absolutely interested in linux.. Good for you introducing the young kids to the shell.. talk about head start. Every American should own a raspberry pi.. no management engine or Microsoft telemetry to send your personal details to the NSA and Redmond. Also the pi is possible to run off of a few 18650 batteries, a deep cycle car battery and a modest solar cell with charge controller... basically build a survival library of pdfs off of torrent, cache wikipedia and you have a off grid SHTF offline reference that can be solar powered... indefinitely. At 35 bucks, you have no excuse NOT to have a bunch of those things around the house doing Plex, Pi Hole, Youtube-dl and teaching your kids how to control servos, read encoders and write code.

I volunteer in a local school, running a club and I think it would be great to incentivise the students by rewarding them for tasks with tokens which they can redeem for (real) stuff that I will stock :-) And the token can be the named the coin of the club. Many thanks for the idea.

I was in IT when Unix is the big deal. I saw the inception of Linux

I think the kids felt deceived when you said you were going to go get a pi. You're lucky you didn't get as full on riot after that one.
16
Do you like coffee mugs or the cups which have a small hole on top and are easier to carry?
16
Great advice, I also recommend getting the current CCNP before the new one! I made a video describing how I got mine, for anyone interested.

Wait a minute... Is the same data center as GTOger Towing videos? virtbiz?

What a coincidence! I spent my entire week developing a PoC for 5G as a service architecture for AT&T. They're soon going to deploy 5G NSA core network in some areas across the Western seaboard. From my experience, I can tell, the true power of 5G core comes from the cloud native, service based architecture and AI based network orchestration. And we should not forget about the multi access edge computing services running at the edge which will help realise the URLLC network slice.

Great content as always. The music playing through that ad, you had me rolling and I'm gonna have to buy it to support that, it was just too good. Well done man.

Congrats to your brother! I also just recently passed ICND1! I probably spent six months studying on and off. I watched Jeremy's video series and used the Exam Cram book to study with, but one of my biggest helps was the practice exams. I would finish an exam and go back to study what questions I missed. After a couple months of doing this fairly consistently and again with the help of the Exam Cram book in the last month or so before my exam I was able to go in with fairly decent confidence and pass first try! I was very much on that exam high as you said, and I did wait a few days before jumping head first into ICND2. I finished the first pass of the video series in about two weeks. I haven't studied much since then, but I do have a book and will be using that along with the videos and practice exams to get ready for my ICND2 exam that I scheduled TODAY for the end of November. If it's not enough time I'll push it a couple weeks or until the end of December. Keep up the great videos!!!

This is so timely. Iβm a Cloud Engineer and have been trying to make the jump to Sr or Principal and all my interviews go well until Iβm asked to code. Coding is probably my weakest point as I came from a SysAdmin background and I mainly know shell, but Python is something Iβve been meaning to and needing to pick up.

I've always had a strange yearning to learn Linux since I was around 15 I tried Ubuntu but it just wasn't for me , so I stumpled upon Arch Linux and haven't looked back. Dive right in and try an Arch Linux Install it seems daunting at first but I absolutely fell in love with it and I've learned so much about linux from the install alone. I now have an Arch Linux Home Media server, an Arch Linux Terminal/TFTP/DHCP Server to connect to my Cisco devices for Labs, an Arch Linux Daily Driver, Arch Linux Laptop. Ahh It's just amazing what you can do with Linux and pair Linux with studying for my CCNA it's a match made in heaven. I LOVE IT!!!!!
15
I love your excitement about Portainer. Had been fiddling with it for awhile before this video and had stubbled upon it when doing a PI-Hole docker with a separate IP address and haven't looked back since.
