They're using different hosts, to do different styles of video, with greatly contrasting styles of cuisine. The weed is the only constant between the weed videos, which are also spaced out every 2 weeks, with 3-5 videos coming in-between.
If you took the weed out of all the weed videos, you'd still have some amazing videos about a variety of delicious recipes.
The weed is just an addition, an extra thing that can be added to enhance or customise the experience!
Plus, as you say asparagus and morels are in season soon, but for them to do an episode about that, i'd imagine they'd have to do all the video planning, and message the appropriate chefs and vendors and morel harvesters, and book travel and plan expenses before it's morel season, then do all the filming, and then do all the editing and then release it as part of their upload schedule.
It's nice having videos about in season produce, but it's unlikely you'll have such big budget and production videos about seasonal produce before or during the season.
I mean, for god's sake, their last video was less than a week ago and is an hour long documentary showcasing Scottish food, everything from traditional to modern, trendy foods!
I doubt they managed to do that in a weekend
