Yes, cultural differences.
My father and his Pilipino girlfriend, who never even sleep together.
They don't watch TV together because she likes Shirley Temple and games shows from her country.
He likes Hollywood films.
She likes playing cards all the time and gambling.
He prefers walking around the city.
He won't eat her Pilipino food because he thinks it's gross.
She doesn't know how to cook his preferred type of food.
Then my own experience with a Columbian woman.
She was very aggressive.
Her parents are in another country so she was often talking to them online in Spanish.
I was trying to understand her. But I would have to learn an entirely new language just to speak to her parents.
If I had gotten married to her, she could have left to her country and never talked to me again.
If we had children, it's possible they would be taken from me.
Also, there's the money issue.
These women don't understand what it's like for people in my economy.
So she treated me poorly, with a lot of criticism and disrespect thinking that my efforts weren't good enough.
I've seen her struggle a lot, even with all the passes she's had with her voluptuous breasts and pretty face.
She's told me many times how she finally understands that this country is not easy.
And she apologized for the way she treated me.
Then she cut ties anyway.
Women are women, no matter where they are from.
They all think the same way, they all want the prince with the bag of gold they can brag to their friends and family about.
Culture is something you can relate to another person through.
So when you can't even have that connection, when you're not tied to the same place and social norms, language and esthetics, it's just one more problem you don't need.
