  1. It's difficult to learn any new language. And from your description, this one seems harder than most. I wish that I knew it now. I imagine that the literature must be very rich, with all the different words/forms of the words that there are. Anyway, I just wanted to encourage you a bit. You're putting forth the effort. A friend of mine who is bilingual (English/Spanish) told me that you really have broken through when you start to think in that other language. I don't practice my Spanish like I should. I understand it, but rarely speak it. But years ago I was in a situation where I was roommates with a girl who spoke no English. I was forced to speak it and translate all the time, with all our friends. I did eventually start to think in Spanish, at least somewhat. Hang in there!
