only three EV makers that are making profit, Tesla, BYD and Li Auto. That said, Nio and Xpeng has great products, if only they focus on cutting cost.

EU must be careful of the US tech giants dominant position in the EU market, EU should make sure the EU citizens data is protected from them. After all, Facebook have sold UK citizens data to the Brexit politicians.

first he wanted Chinese gov to do more, then he said he wanted Chinese gov to let private sector more free room. I guess western trained economist wanted gov to bail them out when times are tough, and stay away when time are good. Some capitalists they are.
1
@MollyGermek yeah, not only that, I heard only industrial input that face deflationary pressure, while the consumer price is actually rising, this actually a good news for businesses. Their cost is declining, while they can sell their products with higher prices.

so after the washington threaten to punish saudi for refusing to increase the oil production, saudi get close to China, and washington accuse saudi of playing politics? that is rich, not wealthy rich rich, but smelly rich

80% of the world chips need of chips are on the low and medium end segment, those chips are inside your electronics, your cars, etc. China may not be able to catch up yet on the high end segment, but if China can capture the low and medium end segment, that will fund China research on the high end chips, while at the same time take away the resources that the western chip makers need to keep researching. Is it too late for China to catch up? There is no such thing as too late in catching up in the tech competition. If you don't start, then you will never be able to catch up.

Chinese people have 12 trillions in saving, giving hand out to them to spend is idiotic. What they need is the confidence to spend, not more money. They just came out of 3 years lock down, they are accumulating savings again, and they are waiting for the bottom of property crash. Once things are stabilizing, they will spend.

Xi care about the economy of 99%, not the 1%

no more freebies for tech robber america

the different is China chose the hard way to solve the challenges now, the west just rolled over the problems for future generations to solve. The fact that China hasn't launched any massive stimulus in itself is a reform.
1
@johnmonk3381 even with growth rate being halved, China still has the growth rate the G7 will kill for, LOL. What matter isn't high growth, but quality growth. Real estate problem is something that bound to happen when you pop the bubble, and it is better to pop it now than later, and it will take years to solve it, anyone who tell you otherwise is lying or dumb. I couldn't give a crap about corrupt billionaires fate. Lying flat is how the youth protesting overwork. If they can do that, that means they still have strength to leverage. Employers will just have to negotiate better deal if they need workers.

serriajohn it is over, you hear me, it is over, run for the hill

fascism can born not only from authoritarianism, but also from democracy. It is a product of a failed system.
1
uum, the Chinese government target is 5%, not above 5%

@jctai100 Have you seen Chinese factory workers working? I have never seen any worker who can learn faster and more productive than the Chinese, maybe Japanese, Koreans and Vietnamese workers can be called equal to them. The only lacking thing is the creativity, but that is not their faults. The problem is that many jobs available to them don't require or even banning them to be creative. They are expected to be doing what their superiors order them to do.
1
softbank is specialized in chasing the bubble, not escaping before it pop, LOL
1
Taiwan is not US business.
1
@paulsur5871 the one imported from taiwan?
1
if the EU and US don't want to certify Chinese planes for political reason, China can ban their planes from flying over Chinese air, and combine that with Russian airspace, that is a lot of airspace they can't fly
1
@peterklausner9727 huh, what are you talking about, who want to do something pathetic like that unless you are americans?
1
Freeport is actually working with Chinese smelter. Without Chinese smelter, Freeport would have broken Indonesian law that require all mining companies to build smelter.
1
India is dreaming. It took China 40 years to get to where China is, and that is China speed, a breakneck speed of double digit growth for 30 years. What make people think India can build highways, ports, airports, power plants, factories, talents, etc in few years and replacing China? that is funny
1
@thillayambalam3416 kishore is singaporean, not indian. Indian claiming Kishore, is like China claiming Lee Kuan Yew
1
@fredfrond6148 Wuling isn't owned by GM alone, it is a JV with Chinese company. Anyway, Wuling mini is for people who can't afford "real" car anyway. Those who used to drive cheap mini EV. It is an upgrade from their previous rides.
1
the sane one like this former US ambassador is not used anymore in the US, instead crazy warmongering officials are replacing people like this former ambassador
1
@RM who can guarantee victory? this statement assume that if the US is ready to face life and death situation as a nation, it is more than welcome to defend taiwan. You win, you get taiwan, you lose, you become the colony.
1
@Bubba-q2b only in total, but if you look at per capita basis, you will see the americans are the greatest polluters in the world. Not to mention, most of them are from factories, producing goods for the west, especially the US. But more importantly, China pollution is peaking, with great investment in EV and renewable energy, China is taking action, unlike the americans who kept electing climate change deniers for president. This coal power plant in China is just a transition tool while they are building the renewable capacity
1
public housing will take over Chinese property market, which is good compare to private fueled by debts and speculation.
1
the US is enjoying selling high price energy to Europe. Our European friends are literally really drinking kool aid sold by Biden🤣
