  1. The selection of fresh fruit and veg is really really good in this shop in Moscow. I never get such choices in central London. Even in Wholefoods which is a really expensive American supermarket I don't see as much choice of fresh produce. And of course prices in London are astronomical for anything fresh. It is incredible that Russia under thousands of sanctions offers their customers better quality produce and lower prices than in London or other western capitals. But on daily basis BBC is telling everyone how Russia is running out of everything. Even news and truth is indeed in short supply in the west, but clearly not in Russia.

  3. 10 Eggs in Russia less than 1$. In UK we are now asked to pay more than £3 for 6 eggs. That's nearly $5. Five times more expensive. And you only get 6 eggs, not 10. For anyone who wants to know the exact price - here it is M&S Organic Free Range Large Eggs 6 per pack £3.70. I think I paid £3.45 today for 6 eggs. In Russia they get 10 eggs for the same price as here in UK you are expected to pay for 1 egg.
