  1. The United States is designed to constantly be at war. Our government and economy are mechanically inclined towards pursuing and lengthening war. It doesn't necessarily need to be our men involved—preferably, it isn't—but we can sustain low-intensity conflicts indefinitely and could outlast anyone in a conventional conflict. Well, sort of. We don't build tanks like Germany or Russia and we don't build ships like China. Our aerospace and software is our biggest advantage. Also oil. We can engineer ridiculously expensive solutions that other countries couldn't conceive of
