@oocares Billionaires & Millionaires would actually skew Average Wages down as they typically don't have earned income. However, as they are such a small percentage of the population, they have a negligible effect on the Average.

@paluckide When do you think this event occurred?

@HR_8035_YEA Thanks for the figure on millionaires. I imagine most Millionaires are of the near/just retired with appreciated home values and 401k variety and not the Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous variety. That said, the truly fabulously wealthy and the recently retired are not wage earners.

There's China and the Western Pacific. What's the second front?

@HR_8035_YEA I would observe again that many of these people are paper millionaires. Combine their retirement funds with their paid off homes and their net worth is over 1 million. It is a factor of time and compounding. There are many factory workers and school teachers who are "millionaires" after 20-30 years of working jobs that are not "wealth generating."

@LRRPFco52 I agree completely.

@jimphelps4466 A Cold Warrior! I salute you. What I meant by "where is the second front" is that Russia is no longer able to open a second front. It was never the former USSR (which included Ukraine, the Baltics, Belarus, and the Stans). In the past 18 months, Russia has also been systematically depleting its Ground Forces and store of missiles. Even if the current war and the sanctions ended today, it would take Russia 10-20 years to rebuild it military to pre-February 2022 levels. Of course, the war will not end soon and neither the sanctions and so Russia grows weaker and weaker. So the likelihood that Russia could open a second front that would require major US forces to respond to is very, very low. China and the Western Pacific is the only front that the US will fight a major war in, in the foreseeable future.
