  2. Where? If EVs replace ICEs inanimate area because electricity is cheap and petro is expensive, then car buyers are making an economic rather than an environmental choice. As Ziehan said, the carbon cost for producing the components for an EV are high. And for many areas, the electricity to power EVs are generated by fossil fuel power plants.

  5. UAW isn't against EVs. UAW is against EV plants being built in Mexico.

  6.  @climatehero Agreed. But UAW's responsibility is not faciliting the roll out of EVs from plants in Mexico, but preserving the jobs, pay, and benefits of UAW members in the US.
