@runninfool Unless you can name the best Russian units that have not been committed, you are wrong. The 1st Guards Tank Army has been in Ukraine for months and they are RF Ground Forces elite unit. The reason for the partial mobilization is that all of the established units have been chewed up and they all need new bodies. There are no more well trained and well equipped units being held back.

Everyone thought Russia would walk over Ukraine. And thankfully, everyone was wrong.

Nuclear Armageddon as a Russian threat is an empty one because it would annihilate Russia as well.

@adamgroszkiewicz814 Sure "everyone" was exaggeration. But, can you cite a pre-February 24 source that predicted Ukraine would fight Russia to a stand still and then go on a successful counter-offensive? If someone did, we would have heard that person crowing from the mountain tops. The best case pre-invasion scenario that I'm aware of is that Russia would conquer Ukraine and then be quagmired in a ferocious guerrilla war waged by Ukrainian insurgents. While Zelensky absolutely should be praised for staying with his people and standing against the Russians, and while the Ukrainian people deserve all honor and glory for fighting and dying for their country, the X-factor was Russia's mistaken intelligence that they could seize the country with a thunder run and the rapid commitment by Western countries to supplying the Ukrainians with the weapons they needed to fight the Russians in a conventional fight. Neither of those x-factors were predicted before the invasion.

@richtes I remember those days! 😁 With The Pierre in the background, Peter is at Central Park South/East. He probably got car serviced in from the airport. Peter is not worrying about the homeless or the subway. He's in the "Company Town for Money" part of New York.

With the first nuke, they would lose China and India.
1
Why would he? THE Ukrainians are spread out so a tactical nuclear weapons would just irradiated the land the Russian forces would have to advance into. A strategic strike against the West would transform Moscow into a glass packing lot. Putin is not stupid or crazy.
1
I remember him says that it was Russia's war to lose and that, with their bad performance at the outset, NATO was pouring equipment into Ukraine because the Russians would be easily beaten by NATO. That would only leave Russia with the nuclear option against NATO.

Look for the Ziehan videos from professional and industry organizations like farm land sales, high ranchers, and waste management industry conventions.

What are the Russians going to counter attack with? Conscripts with one week's training and 60 year old tanks? And they are going to be effective against trained, experienced Ukrainian soldiers operating newer Russian tanks?
1
@Merle1987 Tell that to the Zulus at Rorke's Drift. 4,000 warriors against 250 British soldiers, calvary, auxiliaries, and civilians. Sometimes the only power numbers have is to run up one's own losses.
1
@Merle1987 At this point, the Ukrainians arr also out mobilizing the Russians. And Ukrainians conscripts are going to the UK for several weeks of actual training before being deployed.
1
@Merle1987 So you are retracting your OP? Now you are saying anything can happen and numbers may not have a power all their own.

@adamgroszkiewicz814 🤣 For someone who criticizes others for making assumptions, you are so free with yourself to do the same.

China has already decided. There are limits to the friendship without limits.

Do you want to the Private that drops the grenade down the hatch of a tank? The types of tanks that are famous for literally blowing their turrets?

Thanks Ian! 🙁

Don't recall the Taliban getting HIMARS, Javelins, M777, or HARMs. Don't recall the US feeding the Taliban real-time intelligence for 7 months. The Taliban took small arms, some MRAPs, and a few Blackhawks off of the ANA. How many are still working without spare parts is questionable.
1
The US has spent decades and millions of dollars on "Jointness" (services operating together). Russia didn't put in that work. As such, close air support are targets requested by Ground Forces that get routed up, communicated to Frontal Aviation, then routed down to the squadrons. It's a hours if not days long process the result of which is empty locations being attacked while enemy forces are pressing friendly units without being pestered from the air.

You and Elon are living in May. Then, with the lines stable after the Russian capture of Severodonetsk, it seemed like stalemate. Now, in October, with Russians forces in retreat, what bargaining chip does Russia bring to the peace negotiation table? Nukes? That would be insane and therefore not a credible bargaining chip. A new successful counter-counter offensive? If the Russians could do it, they would be doing it now. Living in May when it's October is cuckoo land.

US satellites are monitoring those railways and commercial shipping between Russia and China.

He usually presents to professional organizations or trade groups. If you belong to one if them, you can see him at their conferences.
