  1. One might reasonably assume that, given Americans are monolingual, adverse to going to other countries or dangerous places, but incredibly rich, the nation would develop a lot of local assets in other countries. Those local assets would speak the language and be good with the foreign location and the danger level. Foreign assets are a form of HUMINT.
