trump is the common denominator, his speech's are full of hate, lies, and propaganda. the most powerful person in the country is unleashing this hatred and violence. his supporters are cult followers, and that includes the republican party who for years has tried to demonize anyone nonchristian, nonwhite, and actively picks judges and passes legislation to keep power away from the average american. america needs to wake up, we are seeing the fruition of a decades old coup of our democracy.

satyasya i know exactly what you mean, we are in a very dark place right now and dn is the only one i trust. but it's getting harder and harder to make that click, i've put it off at times because i wasn't in the right mood, but always do because this show arms us with facts.

thank you amy and your very capable staff. and thank you to the federal judge who put a stop to the memphis police acting as "political police", 85% of white cops nationwide voted for trump. if that doesn't put into perspective who they are, and what they stand for, nothing will.

the arrest and jailing of lula, and the subsequent election of bolsonaro is yet another fascist coup of a democratically elected leader in south america. trump has congratulated bolsonaro and agreed to "work side by side" with the extremist. i hope gleen greenwald and other progressive journalists are more careful now.

@mike_skinner a judge connected to bolsonaro over turned lula's release, lula was charged with accepting an apartment, something he denied. first of all the sentence of 12 years is ridiculous, this particular right wing judge put him back in jail, he also ruled he couldn't run for office from jail, and was cut off from the media and kept in isolation... lula was still leading in the polls at the time… now, if you don't recognize this as corruption at the highest level and an abuse of power, then you must be in on it.

@paddymaguire1703 i've heard it all from corporate media, and they tell me nothing, polls are polls and not infallible, i'm holding onto hope but know they are rigging elections.
