Why do you russians keep asking that question, in every single youtube comment section about a video on the war in Ukraine? How do YOU define winning? Territory taken? Territory defended? In the first couple months of the war, russia had captured something like 32% of Ukraine, but in the two years since - Ukraine has taken back a lot of their territory and are now at 19%. This is damn impressive. Russia has only taken miniscule pieces of territory since, but at a TREMENDOUS cost. For example, in order to take the strategically meaningless town of Avdiivka, russia lost between 60,000-70,000 troops, over 100 armored vehicles, and have suffered countless logistics losses as well as lots of effective attacks by Ukraine on russian territory.
So, russia has taken a little of Ukraine’s land - but the cost is nowhere near sustainable. At that rate, russia will run out of everything before they can take the entirety of the Donbas region. They should forget about trying to take Kyiv or Kharkiv. And Ukraine is getting better at bombing their military fields, their oil refineries and depots, their missile factories, their drone factories, etc. Russia isn’t going to win this. They’re already lost, the cost of what has already been taken will help to bankrupt the RF soon.
