  1. Last year I got a letter from the irs saying I owed them thousands More from when my husband died suddenly 7 years ago. No explanation or anything. I tried to call everyday for months and only ONCE did someone even answer the phone, that person put me on hold for 2hours before I hung up. Then they kept my measly return giving zero explanation. So I guess folks like Al Sharpton can owe millions for years and that's ok, but they will take the little bit of a return from a 62 year old disabled widow. Sad part is, I don't even make enough that i HAVE to file, but I did & then each year since my husband died i used my return like an old school Christmas Club savings account so I could afford new eye glasses each year. with prices up the way they are & me only getting ss$ it was the only way I'd have a couple hundred at one time, glasses are spendy. Not to be snooty...but I bet anyone coming across our border that needed new eye glasses got them.
