  1. It doesn't matter what people are allegedly committed to doing if they are being deceptive or are completely deluded as to the true risks and benefits of such drastic policy. Putting more CO2 in the atmosphere is not a problem, running out of fossil carbon for energy is, but not for centuries so this 2030 or 2050 target setting is 100% political and has nothing to do with physical reality.
