She doesn't seem to understand that it isn't her opinion that counts in such situations, it is the general population who will judge such things, and remember them.

@Pulseidon That is idiotic mate, we are not time travelers.

@Pulseidon That is an interpolation, a form of speculation so again my original point stands. The people will decide, and they will remember, particularly if they personally paid a high cost, this time.

@Pulseidon Yes, if people feel that the goverment is no longer getting the (tricky) job of balancing things correctly just right. They will decide that for themselves but it will be an accumulation of things that they use in their final balance sheet. So a repeat is not something to indulge in lightly. Do you have a problem with democratic ideas, as in the fact that ALL MPs are first and foremost public servants? Why are you arguing that point with me at all in the context of referring to the past election, it is the next one that counts!
1
@Pulseidon No I don't, people are aspirational but they are also retrospective in their consideration of what it will take to achieve those aspirations. The Conservative side of politics really didn't try hard to win the last election because they knew that winning it was a bit of a shit sandwich, as the subject of this dialogue demonstrates clearly.

@Pulseidon No it probably indicates that they are smart and cynical, that they are cognisant of the fact that politics is cyclic so you are best to time your win to make the most of it. No different from investing in the property market etc. You do know how that works?

@Pulseidon Your monomania r.e. Murdoch is pathetic, and irrelevant to any observation I have made given I have not being partisan at all, unlike yourself. Mate you are full of it. Have you ever looked at who has held power and when from a purely rational and mathematical point of view? I doubt it, because creatures like you are almost universally innumerate, why I don't know but it is a pattern I have found amongst political zealots of all persuasions.
