If the people at the Doherty Institute were even remotely honest and competent they would have publicly called out the government for the gross exaggeration of the danger as proven by the fatality data for all of those tens of thousands of Australians who were trapped overseas. In the worst 12 months of the pandemic only 54 died, despite many of them living in countries where the health system is nowhere near as good as it is in Australia. The Doherty Institute has no academic or moral integrity at all.
