I do hope it is resolved soon, it must be hell for kids to grow up in the middle of all that. We will be toning our xmas this year in solidarity with those families in the warzone.

@yvonnebotha6643 I live in Queensland Australia in a semi rural area but still close enough to everything we need. We have been doing the home ed thing for over a decade now and it seems to be working very well. My oldest started university at 16 and in her first semester got distinctions in all subjects. She is also studying from home as it is an IT degree. The world going crazy has not impacted on us that much at all as far as our day to day routine and the results we are getting. We already knew that the more you depend on big business and the government the more vulnerable you are to disruptive events.

Able Danger The mercenaries that Russia has used, prisoners released from prison to fight, have been nothing but brutal to everyone. Can't claim that isn't Russia's doing when the company is run by Putin's closest friend.

@paulveenings6861 Only recent events register with young kids, plus the point is that the kids of the same age in the war zone will not have much of a xmas when otherwise they would celebrate it. You don't have kids do you? If you were a father you would get it, and not have unrealistic expectations. When they are older they can understand history better and see the patterns. We do look at the Big History teaching material, but it is not a priority until later.
