Otherwise it sounds like greenwashing, the losses in the system before you even fire up the arc mean that unless your electricity is genuinely 100% renewable you are just hiding the CO2 production elsewhere, and you still need a certain percentage of carbon in the mix as steel is an alloy of iron and carbon, with a few other elements added depending on the type of allow. Just as well extra CO2 in the atmosphere isn't really harmful anyway.
