Net zero based on solar and storage is suicidal, as the next volcanic winter or big solar storm really is just a matter of time. If you seriously want net zero and reliable baseload power under all conditions then save your money and wait for aneutronic fusion reactors. In the meantime use as much of the gas and coal that we have as possible, while it is still worth something.
