Have all these guys have overlooked inflation, because if I pay $100,000 right now it is actually less wealth handed to the government than if I pay $100,000 over time as an annual tax, correct?

The "must renovate by" date on Australian homes is about 40 years, that is the recognised life of the construction methods used in most homes here.

@YTGhostCensorshipCanSuckMe So ten years down the track the duty I paid looks a lot less than it once did. it has diminished in real terms by 10 * 3% (long term inflation rate average). So the longer you wait the smaller that deposit seems, but the larger an accumulated spend on a tax grows. It is a cynical trap.
