Pathological catastrophizing should be a listed mental illness and the misbehavior of people who suffer from it should be treated with the same disdain that we have for other sociopathic behaviors, i.e. not given a public platform and be dealt with appropriately if their mental illness is harming themselves or other people, or if there is a clear risk of it doing so in the future. It isn't about their beliefs or ideas, it is about their pathological behavior, I want to make that very clear, these people harm other people and either don't care at all or believe that the end justifies their means. It is a form of terrorism in slow motion, but they are still a form of fixated individual and we do have legislation for dealing with such people.
