LOL what? If they are not working move to a country town where housing is cheaper and the air is cleaner, they may even be better off having their own veg garden and getting exercise.

@saltywisdom It is good advice, you should consider it too. Make a tree change.

@saltywisdom Old people don't like sharing houses like they did in their youth, but the smart ones are more adaptable and will do that if it is needed.

Yep they want to destroy our energy assets, tax us more and somehow have enough money to pay for their utopian socialist dreams, nothing they propose adds up.
2
@saltywisdom It is if you are renting and on a goverment support payment. In fact if enough people do that the rest will benefit as the city rents drop too. See how that works?

Albo is a revolting little hypocrite, he and Labor strongly support the US Democrats (to a treacherous degree) and given that Biden seeks to destroy trillions of dollars in Australian energy assets and it is within his power to do so, how could he not be seen as a greater material threat to the welfare of Australia than the likes of the North Korean dictator Kim Jong-un? We want it explained to us how we are to economically survive having the USA force the devaluing of all of our coal assets, then eventually all of our carbon based assets, without them offering us compensation in proportion to our losses?

@jackmasterdick Why not start now, because solar enriches other nations more than Australia and the only long term sustainable energy that is robust and scalable up to the civilisation scale is fusion reactors which are not ready yet. If we waste our wealth on unnecessary short term measures to appease fools we will not have the wealth to afford a rapid and complete roll-out of fusion. Meanwhile we have 300 years worth of coal remaining and destroying its value deliberately is the equivalent of stealing $30,000 from each and every Australian citizen (based on potential royalty earnings alone), that sort of economic vandalism is criminal. People like you are not doing the environment or Australia any good at all, you're actually treacherous fools who do idiot things such as quoting "the science" without having a clue what science really is and what it has actually been able to prove, not to mention knowing what is provable and what can never been known. You talk about theories but you are actually referencing unproven hypothesis, because again you know so little that you don't know the difference. Don't try lecturing me about this topic unless you have a university level science education because we will not even be speaking the same language, you will be spouting political dogma while I am working with logic, verifiable facts, and the _scientific method_.

@woohoo9822 LOL OK pea brain you can start by getting your head around the following "no consistent system of axioms whose theorems can be listed by an effective procedure (i.e., an algorithm) is capable of proving all truths about the arithmetic of natural numbers. For any such consistent formal system, there will always be statements about natural numbers that are true, but that are unprovable within the system. Furthermore such a system cannot demonstrate its own consistency." And given how famous that bit of wisdom is if you need me to tell you who proved it and what its implications are then you are more than not even on the same page you are not even looking at the same book, in fact you have never even entered the library it resides in. :-) Mate if you want me to publicly perform a vivisection on your tiny little mind I will do so. Do you really want to proceed?

@rumman1848 The resources sector in QLD and WA, including coal, is worth trillions of dollars and the coal alone has a total worth, in royalty payments, of at least $30,000 per capita, and that is what is paying for our education and health sectors. This is why the pragmatic right of the Labor party gets support but the insane left of Labor (typified by Albanese) is rejected by the electorate. Look how pragmatic the QLD Labor government is in comparison to the insane ideologues in federal Labor. BTW all of those killings connected to the SAS in Afghanistan happened under the Gillard-Rudd Labor governments and every MP ever convicted of crimes against children started their careers in the Labor party, yep 100% of them, so don't kid yourself Labor has serious problems and needs to purge a lot of perverts and loons from their ranks if they want to claim that they really represent the Australian people and their values.

@xXJokerAtWorkXx Prove it without contradicting what you have just written. I bet you are also so deluded that you think you can predict the future too, yet you will not even acknowledge past events that clearly show that any civilisation that relies heavily on solar power will collapse the moment then next large volcanic winter happens, or when there is another major solar storm on the scale of the Carrington event. Mate you're a first class idiot. But go on, try and prove otherwise, tell me what the total run length of conductors are in a large solar PV installation and what the expected induced voltages from such a storm would be, compared to the "fatal" breakdown voltage of the semiconductor junctions used in PV cells. That is pretty basic electrical engineering so if that is beyond you then you really should STFU. One last point, idiot, "sustainable" implies "forever" so that does in fact cover the expected time scales for the above mentioned events, and don't forget that they can happen at any time over that period even in 10 years from now. People like you are dangerously stupid.

@kodizzie3827 Liar, that figure is based on what QLD does in fact earn in royalties. The fact that you talk about science as if it is a popularity contest just demonstrates what an idiot you are. So we have you being dishonest and a fool, how about we prove you are dangerously ignorant too? Past events that clearly show that any civilisation that relies heavily on solar power will collapse the moment then next large volcanic winter happens, or when there is another major solar storm on the scale of the Carrington event. Mate you're a first class idiot.
