  1. Just like Stalin did to the rural middle class in the Ukraine, he very deliberately destroyed them so that he could control that source of wealth generation for himself, but he didn't understand that it was the people themselves were who generated the wealth and not just their land.

The first national lockdown was understandable, that was like hitting the brakes when you see a roo on the road ahead, but what happened after that was like running the car off the road and into a tree. At first our governments needed to take stock as the situation was novel, but they then had ample time to come up with optimised and adaptive strategies for all possible outcomes, but rather than do that they just showed us how slow they are to learn and how poor they are at pathfinding.
