  2. actually you would end up saving even more. medical costs in the states is triple what it is in Canada for the same procedure so if you bring that down to a more reasonable number that is money that won't be used for the health care system. It cost tax payers to keep courts functioning and the no. 1 civil suit in the us is for medical bills which since it's now free you wouldn't get those lawsuits anymore thus less money having to fund that system. With a more healthy workforce you would have a more productive work force creating more and more and if wages raise as well as productivity then you have more people with more money spending money and putting more into the coffers with sales tax. Honestly it's not a system that can pay for itself but it's pretty damn close.
