I also don't see how ESG is useful since they negatively affect the quality of movies. I do agree with what you said about challenging regimes that were hostile to American values and interests.

It's not that they don't watch, It's that they complain after watching. Movies that push a certain political agenda improve their inclusivity and pushing values they like. Besides, Larry Fink (the CEO of Blackrock) says he's going to rebrand ESG scores so the public won't pay attention to it. ESG scores negatively affect the movie. It's best if they either improve or get rid of ESG scores.

Most conversations on ESG streams are on the internet, but I heard a lot of people in real life complain about woke movies. Some people were annoyed at how race-swapping makes characters inconsistent. The Little Mermaid is for a young audience, so most people wouldn't care. Historical characters like Cleopatra are race swapped, too. Also, the people you're with don't determine everyone since friends often have like-minded views. Comic book and movie fans are usually movies, but they complain a lot about woke movies. How does that explain so many movie youtubers making videos against woke content?
