The single use plastics ban is a scam like the carbon tax. They are not good for the environment or revenue neutral for the Federal Government. The Feds are raking in cash from tax on tax charging gst/hst on top of the carbon tax on fuel and the higher prices of goods and services when the carbon tax is passed down to businesses. Banning single use plastics like plastic bags have just emboldened retailers from grocery stores to Sportchek to charge for their branded reusable bags which can cost anywhere from 35 cents to $2+ a bag. And then guess what the Feds ding gst/hst on the purchase of said reusable bags. It is all a cash grab people.😂
