When I was young I realized early on that certain women only flirted with you when they needed something. Perhaps it made me jaded faster than others . One instance a lady I was dating in 02. We had been on maybe six dates on the seventh date she mentioned she was running short that month on rent. I'm looking at her wearing designer clothes, the hair, makeup and even the nails. I realized she wasn't ready for life at all. So I didn't say anything. She then asked if I would pay her rent. At that moment I said simply no you're not my wife. Her mouth fell open and then she said but we are bf and gf. I said yes but you still aren't my wife. She broke up with me a day later. No regrets at all. Folks this isn't a new thing. If you can't handle your finances you are not strong nor independent.

@jacobcorr98 Well the reason she couldn't afford her rent is the designer clothes and accessories she had been buying. I was young then but raised in a family that taught me priorities first. I found out two months later she ended up filing for bankruptcy. I was at a barbecue and overheard some people talking about it. I thought to myself then if I hadn't been brought up like I had that would have been my future. Yes being attracted to someone is good but just as important will they be a partner that helps or a liability that undermines what you are going for?
