If the project completed, then China will has another export-import route that is more efficient and fast than cruising Indian Ocean and problematic South China Sea. US won't let it happened. So since long time ago ClA backed Uyghur separatist to destablized China and disturb the BRI project around the area. But im recent years China has successfully made Xinjiang more peaceful. But US won't stop. So if US couldn't destablize China from inside anymore, the last choice would be.... yes, destablize the neighbors. See how Pakistan, East India (Manipur), Bangladesh, Rakhine state (Myanmar) often experience civil unrest in recent years. US mission is to stop China regional influence. It will do everything for god**n sake.
