  1. Both US & China depend on each other. China needs the US technology (semiconductors) and US needs big market. Comparing the US with just 330 million and China with almost 1,4 billion population, China becomes the most potential market in the world, especially for US big companies. If China wants to counter back, just simply impose tariff and high tax to all US goods in China. The goods will be more expensive and the market slow down, which makes hundred to thousand of US companies will raise an objection and urge the govt to retract the trade war. In result, US depends more on China. And she obviously cannot do anything but playing with political instruments and brewing some new h0axes toward China.
