Another factor is fear. Once academics had tenure and could explore all kinds of arguments in the pursuit of truth without fear of discipline or dismissal. Now they have to tow a line as they are all shit scared of being cancelled and losing their jobs. And what else can academics do? Over qualified for Tesco and schools won't employ them

When people say you must get an education. I say whose education? Information itself isn't knowledge. The transmission of objective facts only helps in being able to assist in the determination of 'truth' whatever that wisdom may be!
