They are no more dangerous or destructive than any other bomb(in fact they are considerably less powerful than common chemical explosives) its just an enhancement that allows you to get a larger, blast radius out of the same size warhead, by dispersing the explosive before detonating it.

  15.  @arnoldsaunders7885  The bomb disperses metallic powder and an oxidizer, which is ignited by the main HE bursting charge; which is why it throws a shower of sparks. It is an 'enhanced' warhead, not a FAE. It doesn't 'suck up all the oxygen'. Just try to use your own brain, for a moment and think about that criticality - bomb explodes on top of you 'oH mY gOd I cAnT bReAtHe' Its called a 'vacuum' bomb as hyperbole by people who don't understand what it is, or how it works. 297th MI-BN (IMINT; HUMINT-X; BDA)
