@fjalics Yeah, maybe in 100 years, that wont be 'the big stuff'. Among other issues, right now the LASERs are very unreliable, and delicate and the railgun simply isn't a thing. Everytime they fire the LASER there is a significant chance of it burning out somewhere. The real problem isnt power, its power delivery and discharge rate. The weapons run off of batteries and they simply can't discharge fast enough for enough duration, to drive primary weapons. No, guns and missiles are here for a lonnnng time.

@behroozkhaleghirad It means complacency. Our leadership has been completely removed from the privation of real war... like when the enemy actually fights back. If we throwdown with China, or Russia or some other adversary with force projection, none of this super high-tech everything, is going to be maintainable or replaceable. Have we forgotten the shock of battery shortages, early on, in Astan? Now, imagine the enemy doesn't just let you have unfettered access to the air and sea 🤨
