It looks like seeing a British old man talking about Chinese Prester John. Every liberal hawk who discuss any possibility of coup which is supposed to change authoritarian or totalitarian regime into Jeffersonian liberal order mistakes the very nature of dictatorship: Dictators do not dictate alone. They always have allies with systemic institutions. Without any structural change within the regime or the entire country, dictatorship won't go anywhere. Coups will just produce another dictatorship.

@lu881 Well, you argue Chinese citizens have a right to express their opinion and criticise their government if it is not violation of laws. I would like to ask under what conditions the right is able to be used. Because as far as I remember, Professor Wenguang Sun was arrested in his home during a phone interview with Voice of America, when he criticised Chinese government's bad records in protecting human right. He did not use force, and seemed not to violate any laws. He just had a talk and express his complaint against his government. But it was enough for the government to take arrest of him. Is it sufficient to say Chinese people have freedom of expression??? Or, they are just allowed to express only what their government want them to say?
