I think there should be 2 years of mandatory service... Teach these entitled Ass-hats what it means to be a part of society and work for something other than selfish wants. I did 6 years and even though parts of it really sucked, the skills and mental fortitude has served me well afterwords.

Excitement’s crave Sure... Just ignore the alternative I pointed out, as well as they biggest complaint of opportunity to get these skills. Also, to jump from the macro-view to the micro-view is a disingenuous tactic. "What's it to you?" is a simple way to deflect and divert without confronting the issue itself.

Excitement’s crave Giving the young; experience, knowledge, life skills, a paycheck, a sense of independence/accoplishment, a work ethic, & a path to pay for further education afterward is not a bad thing... It would also get them out of their parent's basements. It doesn't have to be military, as a Civil Service Corp can do as well. I've been in a few Countries that have done this and found them to have a sense of National pride, even with multiple political parties and ideals within them... As with anything, their are always outliers, exceptions, & qualifiers. Offered as examples to build upon, not directly implement as "we" are not "they" and have our own cultural differences.
