I realized recently that if you think of the movie, dumb and dumber, Eric is the dumber of the two brothers, with Don Jr being not as bad, but still dumb (ok, stupid) and their father is not all that much better as it appears he never got a proper education, and is a Narc, and a sociopath (his father Fred definitely was). So I don't trust any of them, they all are grifters and liars.
