  6. I use this argument when I tell people "you can't learn a language by playing games". For maybe 10 years(6-16 years) of playing video games in english(because they were available only in english) for TEN YEARS I learned only "play", "exit", "quit", "options", "loading". That's all. 5 words for 10 years. This is your result if you want to "learn" a language through video games. No you just sit and learn it. You learn rules, you listen to it, you translate and learn words. You can't learn a language just playing games in it. Checked.

  7. when I learned english I watched and read only modern sources and only from the USA's natives and sure no stupid memes. I didn't want to accidentally catch some old words and grammar that aren't used in the modern language or some gulesneck(I write this that way or youtube deletes the comment) language like using "ain't" and "be" instead of good is, are, am where they are needed. You just need to practice a lot so everything you speak will just go out automatically and you really don't want to say wrong things automatically and re learn everything.

  10. True. And people who speak english are lingua nazis. They think their language is superior and everyone must to speak it. When I decided what language I want to learn I chose english because of one reason. They taught it in school and at the moment(9th grade) I decided what language to learn I thought "I know ~200 words in english and some rules, if I choose any language but english I will always be ~200 words and some rules behind so I choose english". When people found out I chose english because of this reason they start to be aggressive and they say "no you chose this language because it's the best, because it's the largest language, because it's super convenient" it looks really disgusting. I know better my own reasons. And when you speak english its natives have only one reaction "sure you speak it. You would be an uneducated barbarian if you haven't" when natives of any other language would be impressed and flattered you speak their language. English speakers are really arrogant people(especially brits). I even thought to refuse it though I don't want to waste my time I spent on it so I decided to maintain it

You think just the fact you live in the place where english was created somehow magically removes your mistakes from your speech? Your dialect is spoiled, learn the linguistics.
