Men who under title 42 are put into expedited removal and then are free to recorss again as title 42 removes any title 8 authority to deter them by charging them under title 8. If you mean 2019 yes they were mostly men and then when Biden took office the majority where unaccompanied minors.

Border crossings only take in so many per day. It’s easier to get in front of an asylum agent and get your request heard, and the process of crossing between check points and requesting asylum works the same as it does at check points. Trumps child separation policy, remain in Mexico, and Title 42 all denying legal asylum seekers to their rights under our laws. Having legitimate asylum seekers who are fleeing harm force to wait in Mexico at the hands of cartels and traffickers due to Right wing policies is cruel and immoral.
