The fact that you say it’s abused seems to say that you understand that the laws are being undermined as they are seen as a loophole by many. Our laws and the process was working. They were working right up to the point that the Right began undermining those laws.

  6.  @RobShuttleworth  Because we have laws in place that were working. Those laws were undermined and replaced with a laws that had no penalty for entry or repeat entry. Those laws are now back in place, but law enforcement are overwelmed by the large number allowed to bottle neck at our border. Most will eventually be deported and with the penaties back in place under our old laws, they will be punished if caught again. And many will stay and be porcessed under our slow asylum prerocess. And Congress will not fund to fix the problem they put the administration in.

If they qualify under our asylum laws, then yes. Do I think it's a good Idea to remove our legal enforcement allowing immigrants to freeley cross without penalty, while blaming the current administration for what the Right caused, no.

Laws that Trump and republicans were undermining, because they don't support those laws. The laws the Right wing base has no clue about because they cant read on their own without permission from their puppet masters. We have limited resources to be able to secure the border. If the Right are overwhelming those resources, by removing our ability to enforce immigration laws to fit a right wing agenda, then it's not this administration fault for not being able to keep everyone out. If the GOP will not offer funding for what the DHS needs then they have no ability to meet the goals put forwarded by congress. You can't just say stop all border crossings and not offer funding when immigrants are coming in record numbers. At at no point ever has there ever been an administration that has come under fire for failing at the border and every one of them did fail. The problem is a low informed Right wing base.
