You know the effects of heavy rains, high winds, and storm surge… yet your state & local government doesn’t change building codes to eliminate the annual damage - pure madness. If an are is subject to storm surge - don’t build. If high winds do damage to buildings - don’t build with straw. If an are is subject to flooding - elevate or don’t build. You are correct, Socialism is the bailing out of others in need, a periodic hand up. Welfare is the consistent need because you can’t or won’t take care of your selves.

  5.  @jaymorgan6247  By the way, I am tired of bailing out Florida with millions of dollars in Aid year after year. You know hurricanes happen every year, you know what they can do, but you build fragile house, on the shore, below storm surge levels, and expect the rest of America to bail you out.
