Take example the various Plagues of Europe. It was not Heard Immunity that that spared the survivors but isolation and fear. Germany and New Zealand are two examples of solid government leadership, listening to the experts, and implementing appropriate strategies immediately. Because they took the threat seriously they suffered less infections, dramatically less deaths, and dramatically less economic disruption.
