***** Why? Because a few special snowflakes are having panic attacks over paranoid bullshit?
4
***** Actually, it does. Contracts are binding, even with the government. Why? Because the alternative is if you violate our agreement is I shoot you in the face. Would you prefer those terms?
2
***** I hate to break it to you, but we're not in Soviet Russia. A government has no authority to force a private business to move. Nor does it have the authority to violate legally binding contracts (i.e. permits) just because people bitch about them. As I said, if you move your dumb ass next to an oil rig, it's not the oil rig's problem.
2
Fucking retards move next to an oil rig then bitch that there's an oil rig in their back yard. I hate to break it to you, the site that was established in 1965 has priority over your dumb asses.
2
+Buggy The Clown Fucktard, they placed THEMSELVES in proximity to oil rigs. It's not the oil industry's problem that these clowns bought the neighboring property.
1
***** Do you even constitution bro? The government has no authority not expressly granted by the CotUS.
1
***** I know what eminent domain is. I also know it's unconstitutional as fuck.
1
***** [CITATION NEEDED] I can cite two amendments that it violates. 5th "nor shall private property be taken for public use, without just compensation." 4th "The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated," Eminent domain does cannot grant "just compensation" by definition. In this case, "just compensation" would be the entire value of all the oil that could be produced by the well in question. Good luck with that.
1
***** So they are going to pay "fair market value" for an oil well? Do you know what that the value of a well is? It's measured in millions of dollars.
1
***** Except that you already granted a permit fucktard. That's a legally binding contract. You have no legal authority to rescind said permit unless the original terms have been violated.
1
***** Actually, yeah, yeah they are. It's called ex-post-facto. You can't create retroactive regulations that apply to existing permits. That's why those sites were grandfathered in in the first place fucktard.
1
***** Eminent domain is unconstitutional. It's a gross violation of the 4th amendment.
1
***** Ah, refuge in absurdity... Going to have an argument that's not a logical fallacy?
1
***** Not really. No contract forces these retards to live next to an active oil well. The well was there first. That makes it not the oil company's problem.
1
***** So your logic is that the government fucking up is somehow the oil company's problem? You have no idea what the fuck you're talking about you commie sack of shit.
1
***** Yeah... Good luck with that. The mineral rights to that well are worth more than all surrounding property. It would be cheaper to move the retards who decided it was a good idea to shack up next to an oil field.
1
***** Do you even geology bro? The rig is there for a reason fucktard. ... and yes, fair market value includes mineral rights which would mean the production value of the oil for the lifetime of the well.
1
***** There is zero evidence that it's a health hazard. People work in close proximity to these things for years with no ill effects.
1
***** Lots of people claim to have seen aliens. Claims do not evidence make. The workers are exposed to much higher concentrations and are just fine.
1
***** The government has no authority over private property. You and commies like you can go fuck off to North Korea.
1
***** Sorry bro, but the government can't change laws retroactively. It's unconstitutional as fuck. Once the permit is granted, it is a legal contract. If legal contracts have no permanency than the government has no authority AT ALL. Why? Because it derives its authority from just such a contract. Thus, the oil company would be perfectly justified in just telling the government or any of its agents to fuck off. Then if they refuse to do so, using lethal force to make them fuck off.

Kevin Booth I fail to see how that's the oil company's problem. If your dumb ass can't afford to live in LA, don't live in LA.
1
Kevin Booth No... No we don't. Nobody is "born into poverty" in the US. It is not my responsibility to work to pay for their shit.
1
Kevin Booth Ok... You fail to realize that there is no such thing as "poverty" in the US. To get out of poverty, you need to do exactly three things. 1. Graduate High School 2. Don't break the law 3. Don't have kids outside of marriage I fail to see how any of those are my problem.
1
Kevin Booth No, you just have no fucking idea what poverty actually is.
1
Kevin Booth Again... Three things you need to do. It's not rocket science. It most certainly not my financial responsibility if you fuck them up
1
Kevin Booth Again. It's not about "chance" follow these simple rules, and you won't be in poverty. http://www.brookings.edu/research/opinions/2013/03/13-join-middle-class-haskins

Kevin Booth Or I simply recognize that poor people are poor for a reason.
