@eduwino151 Ah, personal attacks. And some good old fashioned tribal tactics to boot. Glad we got to that early. Saves on the trouble of engaging further under the assumption that one is dealing with someone arguing in good faith, rather than simply trying to impress their opinion onto you by way of simple vehemence. @eduwino151 Complacency will get you nowhere, much like those companies got nowhere. The Empire was unravelling even before WW2. And the UK is a pretty average developed economy now, apart from its trust money powered financial system (it's not even a great stock market hub). I notice you completely skipped over Russia, which is telling. Especially since almost no one saw the USSR collapsing the way it did, which means hints that your expectations for the "only" way the US could diminish are similarly narrow-minded. Britain was never conquered, yet its dominion diminished. The US doesn't need to be successfully invaded to be brought down to size either. Lastly, calling it 'economics 101', despite there being no actual economics 101 there...
