@WaveRider1989 And you'd prefer to live in Switzerland over America. That doesn't really say anything, since the comparison isn't fair in relative terms to begin with. The US is still the world hegemon, and has a ridiculous number of advantages over most others, yet performs poorly in proportional terms compared to not just China, but plenty of other countries too (Germany or Japan or Singapore or even India). America has been essentially easy mode as far as nations go for the last 150 or so years (ever since it was fully settled) and yet loudly proclaims its brilliance. In contrast China, while certainly not the most difficult nation to develop ever, is a much bigger challenge than America ever was - and they're doing it much faster than America ever did as well. They're not the first - all the Asian tigers have put the US' record to shame, developing in decades and with far fewer resources and while in far less secure neighbourhoods. And yet Americans like to think they built their country through great struggle, before turning and decrying the 'sweatshops' in other nations that were never so lucky. America is secure, has tons of resources, began with a relatively educated populace that kept getting added to, and after WW2 even literally shaped the world economic system to place itself at the center. And that's admirable?! That's just spoilt.
Besides being full of themselves in terms of their achievements, they're also huge hypocrites in terms of their values. And this is the worst part, since they constantly trumpet those values to the whole world - and it affects the whole world. This is also what makes them insufferable, and why I choose to take the piss on them. This is mainly concerned with their foreign policy, where despite claiming they stand for freedom, democracy and human rights, they've allied with many autocrats (KSA for example), put many other autocrats into power (Chile, for example), and killed millions with their constant warmongering. And yet they lecture other countries and even take action against them for not behaving properly. And never face the consequences of their actions, leaving the locals to deal with the messes they leave behind (Afghanistan being just the latest example of this). China at least, like most countries, doesn't typically pretend it's pursuing anything other than its national interests. America pursues its national interests while pretending it stands for some sort of higher moral calling. They've even made a religion out of it (look up American Civil Religion on Wikipedia, and take note of the 12th Tenet). Even all their wars are always given some sort of moral justification, which is just a modernized take on the 'white man's burden'.
So basically America is both hypocritical and arrogant. It's much easier to stomach a straightforward villain (if that's how one wants to characterize countries like China) than one who's full of himself and keeps claiming he's the hero, despite his actions. China doesn't need more hate, as it hasn't tried to make itself lovable to begin with. They're coldly pragmatic. It's America that doesn't get criticized enough, despite that they've done more harm across the world, because it's a spoiled rich kid with a big stick that's constantly being pandered to.

@badluck5647 Btw, that's just one example. America stands out for a lot of things. Americans exceptionalism is a thing for Americans, but in some ways it's true. There's a lot of ways in which America is way worse than the global norm, and only a few in which it may be better.
For another example, consider military spending per capita. This isn't spending in absolute terms, where of course the biggest economy can spend more, but is a more proportional measure of how much importance a country places on its army (as if the hundreds of foreign bases were not a clear enough sign lol). The US, the country most insulted from invasion, with two giant oceans and 2 weak neighbours, is SECOND in the world (behind Israel, a country with far more reason to do this). China is 58th lol, behind Azerbaijan! Russia is 25th btw, to give some context.
America is also one of the only countries in history to regularly get into wars far from its borders (almost all the others are former colonial powers). Even China doesn't do that - all its wars have been on its borders, which is the norm for countries fyi, and it hasn't been to war for with anyone for decades now (and even if it did go to war tomorrow, it'll be yet another border war, hardly a break from the rule). Why does this matter? Because border wars are typical, whereas non-border wars aren't - distant wars indicate hegemony.
