"depends on the U.S. Navy to guarantee freedom of the seas and trade" - gotta love how Americans keep telling themselves this cute fairy tale to make it seem the world needs them so much lmao! Modern day pirates are a joke that most nations can easily suppress even without any superpower help. Your navy does nothing but support American global hegemony, it certainly isn't needed for trade. Also China has its own nuclear reactor projects, including research into fusion power lol!

@Mr_Fairdale Yeah sure lol. Just take hostile actions against third party assets in a futile attempt to cut China off from oil when they have a very oil-rich ally just to their north. All you'll do it piss off half a dozen other nations for no benefit lmao! 😂

@Tpmc9fq You could say the same of the Saudis. Oh but of course we don't villify them cos they're not an American enemy. 🙄

@RonaldinhoGoat Neither Malaysia nor Singapore nor Indonesia nor even the Philippines wants a war with China. The reason the Malacca Strait gets discussed at all isn't cos any of them are gonna block it, it's only ever the US that's mentioned as a possible blocking force. A country that's nowhere near the region, but projects power everywhere anyway just cos it can.

@badluck5647 Africa has already established extensive ties to China, so you're gonna have a tough time muscling them out.

@54032Zepol China's persecution is a response to terrorist attacks there. They have Muslims elsewhere that aren't a target cos they're not in a restive region. The US also suffered terrorist attacks btw - know what they did? Launch a war that killed a 100 TIMES the number of Muslims that they suffered from said terrorist attack. And a lot more Muslims than China has killed.

@sazzbot8874 China also has fusion reactors fyi. The US is hardly the be all and end all of fusion research.

@Mr_Fairdale Zeihan not promoting fusion is probably the biggest endorsement of a fusion future. Not that I believe in fusion myself, but Zeihan not believing in it actually makes it seem a bit more likely to me.

@sei.tsukino Oil may be limited but it isn't running out anytime soon. We're likely gonna transition away from oil (as a fuel source at least) for climate change reasons long before we run out of the stuff. There's plenty of it left still.

@CBRN-115 No one expects fusion to be feasible for another couple of decades at least.

@Rooboy-619 Ironically China is already the largest EV producer, consumer and now even exporter on Earth. Also the world leader in solar power, and a major player in nuclear power too.
1
They're doing both. China is also a major researcher into fusion energy and already the world leader on solar power.

@dynamicascension981 George Bush is still alive and has the blood of a quarter of a million Afghans and nearly a million Iraqis on his hands. Better? So when is he going to be hauled up in front of the ICC? Along with Cheney, Rumsfeld, etc.
