The King can not remove their titles, it takes an act of law, The King can not remove them from the line of succession that takes an act of law Both of which are down to Parliment

@mrsfmr that was when the Monarchy ruled absolutely, but things changed during the reign of King Charles I in the 1600' and the civil war when Oliver Cromwell took over Parliment and had the King beheaded and his head put on a stake for all the people to see. He later reinstated the Kings son Charles Ii but without absolute pwoer. The Monarchy now rules by the will of the people and has limited powers, one power they no longer have is to chop of peoples heads, nor to remove Duke and Duchess titles or remove someone from the line of Succession, that takes and act of law, which only Parliment can approve

@Lalunabreeze the MP for York brought a private members bill yo remove titles (this was aimed at Andrew) it got to second reading in the house of commons but went no further. However Bob Seely the MP for the Isle of White has brought another one which has had it's 1st reading i the commons and it's 2nd readinf is in June, hopefully this time Downing Street will support it.

@ShalimarPicasso yes he can give them another title but he can not remove the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, so giving them another title will only make matters worse. It has taken a long time to disassociate the Windsor title from Windsor and the people of Windsor will be as unhappy as the people of York and Sussex are
