Sorry but most people in wales are taught Welsh in school. As long as those who live there want the name changed, I'm okay with it. However to change Beacon, a becon is a shining light, is ridiculous because of climate change.

@Gabriel_H77 I have no objection to using the Welsh name but the amount of money this is going to cost at a time when people are in financial crisis us a joke. All sign posts across the country that mention Brecon Beacon will have to be changed, all the advertising brochures will have to be changed all the local shops in the area will have to change their signage to fit in any stationery that contains the name Brecon Beacon will have to be change, all the maps will have to be changed, all the Satnavs will have to be changed and there are probably more things that will need to change. Who is going to provide the money to do this, signage will be paid for from Council tax. Did anyone ask those who live there what they thought about dropping the name Bercon Beacon?

@Gabriel_H77 I know how signs are in Wales, I lived there and have family there,vso I know how the signage is done, however in England they don't put the Welsh namevon the signs. On top of a signs people are going to have to go through and alter everything on the Internet as almost everything there refers to Brecon Beacons, I just personally feel that money spent on changing the name could be better spent on other things
