Yeah I’ve never heard about it until today. I’m glad the UK saw sense here to send even ‘in development’ equipment that is still in line with what they believe they can send right now. It means I guess the UK gets to know that the equipment actually works speeding up RND time and help those who need it most. We really should be sending far more equipment that is far more deadly at long range than we are right now, but this is still good to hear.

Noooice. We really do need to be sending far more equipment including actual tanks to Ukraine (I’m looking at you Challenger 2s), but it is great that we are actually sending even developing equipment like this that is still in line with what our government has been saying we will send up to now. I guess the military and government wanted to keep this particular piece more of a secret (just by lumping it in with the rest so saying it without directly saying it) in case it looked bad we were giving them RND equipment, or the Russians found out about it to try and counteract it or something they could try and capture. Nevertheless, it seems to be out in the open now, and has actually done a really good job. If it helps us to know that the equipment actually works and we can speed up its implementation in our regular forces, and helps Ukrainians ASAP on the ground, then all the better. Slava Ukraine 🇬🇧❤️🇺🇦💪🏼

@tongobong1 It seems to be that way.If the US wasn’t so polarised with fear over hypotheticals they could easily send many times more equipment than what they already have.

It has been great, but we definitely need to up the anti by sending more long-range missiles as well as actual thanks. We keep saying that the Ukrainians will need time to train on anything new, but the war has been going on for a month and a half now, and we easily could’ve given tank crews a crash course on how to use the Challenger 2 tanks. From the way things are going they need them a lot more than we do. We need to do the ASAP.

Yeah there is really hard balance between trying to give people the information and reassurance they need that equipment is getting there, versus information that Putin‘s cronies can use against Ukraine. The line is so hard in the digital era.

@oldgreggscreamybaileys6618 Yeah that’s a bit of an exaggeration. That’s not coming in per day, and that is not going to suddenly make equipment land on their doorstep.
